CRAFTSMEN FIRST
TECHNOLOGISTS SECOND
About DataBright
We’ve been helping businesses digitize and make huge efficiency gains long before “digital transformation” became a thing.
We combine business acumen, technical depth, and craftsman’s care to build solutions that work technically, operationally, strategically, and humanly.
We start by understanding your business, your goals, and your people. Because no system succeeds unless the people using it succeed too.
You’re not here for more tech. You’re here for a smarter, more profitable, and more efficient business. That’s what we build—solutions that elevate performance and give your team something to be proud of.
You’ll appreciate this approach for years. When every person is proud of what they produce, that’s a strategic advantage that drives your success much longer than any bit of technology.
LENNY EIGER,
CEO, DATABRIGHT
We believe technology should feel like it was made by someone who cares about the success of the people using it. That’s the difference between a technician and a craftsman.
TQ White, Chief Technology Officer, Databright

CTO, Architect, Relentless Problem Solver
For more than four decades, TQ has taken on high-stakes technical challenges and delivered solutions that last. He developed the first digital imaging exchange file format, became a globally recognized expert in data modeling, built successful national sales organizations from scratch, has consistently engineered software systems that advance the state of the art, authored industry standards, and led multi-million-dollar product launches.
Highlights of his work include:
- Gradebook system for schools: Built a gradebook and reporting system that served an entire school district, handling contracts, design, schema, prototyping, team leadership, and delivery. After he left this position, the system data integration ran reliably for four years without intervention.
- Data integration automation: Cut manual effort in data integration by 90% and, in doing so, increased data updates from every 10 days to daily through tools, frameworks, and mentoring that changed how teams worked.
- Advanced system architecture: Architecting and coding complex systems under tight constraints—reverse-engineering massive, unfamiliar platforms and turning them into clear, working solutions.
- Standard setting for special education: Founding the Special Education Data Model work group that standardized IEP data nationwide, contributing to a federal standard supported by the White House for military family initiatives.
- Mentorship: Mentoring apprentices and peers alike—shaping not just code, but careers.
TQ’s career spans industries: pioneering digital printing and early cloud backup, architecting education data systems, and setting interoperability standards that shaped national policy. Across all of it, his hallmark is the same: driving clarity from complexity, designing durable systems, and creating value that endures.
At Databright, he brings a rare blend of hands-on craftsmanship and strategic vision. He’s an architect who can see the big picture then implement the exact details to realize the vision. He writes code and helps make the improbable possible.
